Bouncing baby at Catch Air....
Tristan and Jenna at Catch Air (isn't he big!!)
A rainy day fashion show... please note I did NOT choose the clothes or accessories...

More fashion show.... You are missing the light up slippers, which really add to the overall errrrrr glamour of this outfit.

Last but not least, this is from tonight.

Hugs and Kisses

We played with playdoh again tonight while talking to Daddy on the phone. Doggy got hugs and kisses and tucked into bed with a playdoh blanket, then squished to sleep.
This looks like she is trying to eat the doggie, but she's really kissing it.
And we had to show the doggie to Daddy:

And give Daddy hugs and kisses:

Awwwwww......

The Reader

I had the pleasure of eavesdropping on Cara reading "Grumpy Bird" outloud to herself tonight... She did an amazingly good job... so tonight, for your entertainment, I present:

Cara's Version of Grumpy Bird, or Why I Made Mommy Read This Book Every Single Night For the Last Two Weeks:

"Grumpy Bird sleepy.
Here is Sheepie! 'Hello, Grumpy Bird!'
'I walking.'
'I walking too,' says Sheepie!
There is Raccoon, and Rabbit, and Sheepie, and Grumpy Bird.
'Hello Grumpy Bird!'
'I walking.'
'I like walking. I walking too!'
Here is Fox, and Sheepie, and Rabbit, and Beaver, and Grumpy Bird, and Raccoon. Everybody walking.
Bird is grumpy. Bird flying! Have a snackie, Birdie!
Everybody take a nap."

For those of you who are not up to date on your children's literature, here is the original:

Comments

A couple of folks have complained about not being able to leave comments. I modified settings and I think it might work now. Try it again! Assuming you have something to say, of course.

Professional cuteness

These are so good, they deserve to be EXTRA large. Yup.

Valentine's photos, courtesy of my amazing neighbor Kelly and her fantastic photography skills. She did our Christmas photos too. One day she will go pro and make oodles of money, and I'll design her website. Hee hee.

Don't ask how we got Maya to stay put long enough to get a picture. I'm not quite sure how we did it myself.

Cara was a ham during the photo session... little miss personality. She knew there was a camera present. Now why can't she be this smiley when I take pictures, hmm??

Art, art, and more art

Since we've had an art theme all week... here, for your enjoyment, is a detailed review of
the young artiste's lastest work, entitled "Study in Bath Circles VII"

As you can see, the artist is quite engrossed in her work:

A close up of the work in progress. Note the energetic brush stokes and use of vivid colors. The artist is clearly indicating that she is not in the slightest bit tired and does not need to go to bed early.
And here Miss Pearce is making the profound statement that art and indeed life itself is a temporary state, which can be wiped away with no trace. The artist returns her canvas to a blank slate, like a newborn soul, awaiting a new day.

Miss Pearce, would you like to make a statement on the meaning of this extraordinary masterwork?

"Yeah. Mommy is silly."

Play Doh

We walked through the door tonight and Cara immediately decided she needed some quality time with her play doh. I told her that dinner was first on our agenda (which was not a popular decision, but hey, too bad). She didn't eat a lot... guess the play doh was more intriguing than food. Sigh.

Anyway, I busted out the play doh and we had a very good time. Cara got a neat kit with lots of tools and things from "Danny, Nonnie, Emmy, and Anna Cake" at Christmas and has lots of fun smashing and squishing the heck out of the playdoh.

Tim, here is what she was telling you to watch:

"Watch, Daddy, watch!! I make circles! Watch, Daddy! Circles!" Here's the finished product:

Exciting, huh? It was actually pretty entertaining to watch her pound the heck out of the mound of playdoh. The vigor of this activity doesn't translate too well in the photo... you'll have to use your imagination.
She's discovered I can sculpt things for her and that is very exciting... Cara was exceptionally pleased with her doggie...

Until she squished it.

So the doggie suddenly and miraculously morphed into an elephant and all was well again.
